This page shows an exciting assortment of jewelry that incorporates AQUAMARINE, the March birthstone (along with bloodstone)! Its name derives from the latin for "sea water". Transparent pale greenish-blue in color, it is a form of the mineral beryl (emerald). Typically, heat-treatment of the stone takes out yellow tones to get to the pleasing color. If you like legends, this stone is said to promote harmony, carrying an aquamarine is said to guarantee a happy marriage, or good luck for sailors.
