Janice Lee Ripley is the principal designer of Camenae Jewelry, originally based in California. She named her company after the mythological spirit guides Camenae, to acknowledge the dynamic and creative forces of the human spirit and natural world. The resulting style is described as modern primitive fusion, blending rock, bone, silk, sterling and gemstones with glass and resin, adding artistic treatments of painting, dying, carving, stamping and hand assembly. Each piece is truly unique.
