Olga Abadi uses candy wrapper, soda labels, and magazine cut-outs, with leather, to create amazing handbags. Inspired by crafts of her native Mexico, and using materials gathered from local Mexican factories, the result is Nahui Ollin, a specialty line of handbags inspired by age-old techniques with a modern look and feel. They stand the test of time and weather with tear-free durability. Shapes are created by clever folding and weaving, they are not stitched (except where leather and hardware attaches)! This is the Abadi family business, and all pieces are unique as they are handcrafted from folded and woven wrappers that have different prints and colors!
