Catherine Popesco is the French designer of La Vie Parisienne, a lovely line of jewelry that features "old silver" settings (silver on copper). Early 1900's pin frames are the central feature to the collection, handcolored with enamel, Swarovski crystals work with it all. Some items may have a goldplated finish over the base metal frame.
|
SEEKA jewelry, created by Stavit and Nachshon Peleg in New York, features forms cut from stainless steel with a laser. Artist resins are then layered one at a time within the steel frames to paint an original work, sometimes growing from a background print. Metal leaf, wire, crystals and glass are added as accents. The finished work may also include extra dimensional or moving pieces. And most remarkably, the finished work is lightweight, almost as beautiful on the back as it is on the front!
