Timmy Woods designs delightful handbags from fallen Acacia wood, carved into themed shapes with attention to wood grain and natural markings. Lined in silky bengaline, most have tuck-in shoulder straps. Timmy started her collectible bags business in Beverly Hills in 1992, the bags are made in the Philippines. She plants two trees for every fallen Acacia tree she harvests.

Maruca Designs is a collaborative design effort in Colorado, using distinctive fabrics sewn into distinctive shapes. The bags are casual, soft, roomy. Fabric patterns are carefully combined to create two annual seasonal statements.

This bag measures 9.5 x 5 x 3.5 inches on outer-most points, in elegant flat egg shape carved from Acacia wood. The back is shiny smooth with interesting grain pattern and shading from light to warm brown colors. The front is carved with bird in flight and textured background, warmer brown colors in the grain. Opens from hinged bottom, interior lined in black with small open pocket. Black cord shoulder strap can be tucked inside. Closes with black cord and golden loop over rivet.

The beautiful natural grains of the handcarved Acacia wood has lustrous glossy finish in this simple bag shape. Measures 6.25 x 4.75 x 3.25 inches. Opens from hinged bottom, inside is lined in black fabric with small zip pocket. The black cord shoulder strap can be tucked inside. The elegant flap over the top closes with magnetic snap. The flap is a beautiful soft leather with paisley print with reptile overtones, in metallic copper and gold with black. Black fur trims the edges.

"Ducky" is a flirty smaller bag, measures 5 inches tall, shaped from 5 inches across the bottom, 10 inches at the center, and 8 inches at the full zipper top. Made with shaped fabric panels on each end and one in the zipper, 3 different fabrics. 20 inch fabric strap for high shoulder wearing, interior lined with small open pocket. Mixed fabrics for Spring 2010 in cool seafoam turquoise, blues, taupes and brown.
